Fuse Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5th, 2014

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how information is collected, used and disclosed by Skout, Inc. ("Skout") with respect to your access and use of the Fuse mobile application, (the "Service" or "Fuse"). This Policy describes privacy practices specific to Fuse. The main Skout Privacy Policy does not apply with respect to Fuse. Your use of Fuse is governed by the Fuse Terms of Use.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect certain information when you connect to or use Fuse in various ways. This information may be information that can identify you as a person or non-personal information and is either collected automatically or as a result of your specific input of the information. All information collected in any way is referred to collectively in this Policy as "Information." All Information is currently processed and stored in the United States on either Skout's servers or within Amazon Web Services ("AWS").

Sign Up/Install

You may be required to provide the following Information to Skout when you sign up for the Service: your first name, last name, and mobile phone number. We automatically collect the time you connect ("timestamp"). Also, if you sign up via an ad click, we automatically collect your device type and unique device identifier.

Using the Fuse App

We collect the following Information each time you open Fuse: your IP address and/or Android DeviceID. We collect all of the above Information automatically as part of the opening of the app. In addition, the Service may access your device's address book, with your consent, to facilitate your use of the Service[A23] . If you later decide to revoke your consent[A24] , you can do so by either changing the settings on your device, if this option is provided by your device operating system, or by following the standard uninstall process and removing our Service from your device.

Add Friends

We collect the following Information when you add friends through your device's address book: we collect your friend's name and phone number. When inviting friends from your address book, you must manually choose each person that you want to invite; we do not "auto-invite" your entire address book. We collect all of the above information automatically as part of the process of adding friends.

Adding Photos and Comments

When you add photos and comments in Fuse to share with the group that you select, we collect the photo you're sharing, the photo caption, your comments and a timestamp. In addition, your photos, the captions and comments are temporarily stored on the devices of recipients. After the "fuse" expires, the photo, the captions and comments will "disappear." Regardless of the duration of the "fuse", your photos, captions and comments are programmed to be removed from AWS's servers after the fuse expires. Unviewed fuses are programmed to be removed from AWS's servers after three days. However, we cannot guarantee that deletion of any photo, caption and/or comment always occurs within a particular timeframe. We cannot prevent others from making copies of your photos, captions and/or comments. You should not use Fuse to send messages if you want to be sure that a recipient cannot keep a copy.

In the course of providing our Service on third party platforms, such as Apple's App Store, the platforms may collect Information about you or receive Information from us in order for the platform to provide or analyze their services. Please note that these platforms were developed and administered by people or companies not affiliated with or controlled by Skout and that Skout is not responsible for the actions of those people or companies. You should carefully review the terms of service and privacy policies of the platforms that you use to access our Service.
